McLaren Artura | News
It’s the Artura and it symbolizes the meeting point between art and the future according to McLaren. Woking’s new born also introduces a new decade for its road-going models and a breakthrough that offers a hybrid engine on a wider production range than what has been done with the exclusive P1. The Artura maintains the clean lines to which McLaren has accustomed us over the years, presenting a completely new chassis and latest generation aerodynamic solutions that do not, however, affect the elegance of a two-seater coupe with dreamlike doors still opening upwards and an advanced driving position that sits passenger and occupant ahead of the new twin-turbo hybrid V6, which combined with an electric motor delivers a power of 680 horsepower and 720 Nm of torque, settling closer to the 720S, than to the 570S, now ready to go out of production.
The Artura is a full-fledged hybrid, given that it can be recharged from a traditional socket or from columns, being in fact a plug-in hybrid capable of traveling up to 30 km and reaching 130 kph in 100% electric mode. Concerning the passenger compartment we find an environment that maintains the distinctive traits of every other McLaren, now with a revisited central tunnel and a display literally hanging in the center between the two occupants, while in front of the driver we have a second digital display – not rotating like that on the 720S – with knobs at the ends to change the driving mode, without getting distracted or taking your hands off the wheel while driving.
The Artura will become your ideal partner for a weekend drive, also excelling in terms of on-board comfort and a complete multimedia equipment, ensuring strong doses of fun and adrenaline, with performances like 3 seconds to shoot from 0 to 100 kph and a top speed of 330 per hour. First deliveries this summer with prices starting from € 231,000.
