MX-5 Special: NBFL
Main feature: sports car! You already know that the MX-5 is a hell of a sports car, but the 2004 Backstage version is the ultimate step needed to complete the union between the Japanese spider and its owner Jessica, giving birth to the most sporty duo you could ever imagine! Jessica arrives at the wheel of her MX-5 second series (identified by the initials NBFL and where FL stands for Face Lift) characterized by a particular color combination Titanium Grey/red and black two-tone leather: unique colors that enhance the strength of this special model proposed in special series in 2004. But the Backstage is not just aesthetics tailoring: Jessica’s “Miata” comes standard with specific more prominent rear fenders and a strut brace for the front suspension, in addition to the classic 110 hp 1.6-liter that under the hood of a 1,035 kg featherweight allows a lot of fun at the wheel. Evidently, owning one of the most sportier MX-5 wasn’t enough for Jessica and so has decided to adopt appropriate modifications in order to make her spider even more extreme: aggressive 16” Japan Racing JR10 alloy wheels instead of the original Enkei, new Bartoli Faenza handcrafted sports exhaust and 3cm lowered Eibach springs. Not bad, right? It is no secret that Jessica like sports cars but why the MX-5? Jessica looks at her for a moment, then turns to us and says: “I love Japanese cars (actually Jessica also owns a Nissan Skyline R33 GTR!) and I always wanted to have a spider. The MX-5 was Japan’s best one, suited to my lifestyle and the fact that I really like it so much so that has become my daily drive. I bought it as a graduation gift and since then I can’t imagine to give it away … I love her! With few but precise mods, it became even more beautiful to drive and it’s able, just in a few minutes, to forget a simple and nice ride and launches itself through some hairpin in total fun! And it’s also compact, lightweight and agile like a go-kart and aesthetically rare … well it’s a nice toy!” Jessica is enthusiastic about her MX-5, of its special series and modifications done: is there something that you don’t like about your spider ?? “It ‘s small and is suitable for those who have no family yet, but honestly, when I need more space I take the Skyline and I enjoy driving the same, although it is far less economic than the MX-5!” The clock is ticking, Jessica can’t wait to return to the wheel of her beloved MX-5 and so we ask: where would you like to drive it now? “On a road full of twists along the shores of the sea … maybe while I’m here in Liguria, I should drive from dusk till dawn!” Yep, I think that could be a very good idea; enjoy your “Backstage” Jessica!
