So the board asked me to launch a new column, something in which contents should be read in less than 3 minutes – for the sake of the current time-o-phobic era we are living in. I started chatting with some of our readers through my Instagram account @alex_marrone1 , browse some e-mails here and there and noticed that a lot of people – luckily – see their cars as the ultimate tool for entertainment. One of the first questions I’ve gone through was “What’s the best car you’ve ever driven?” and well, let’s say I don’t really know. Actually, the truth is that I couldn’t pick just one car, but as far as driving experiences concern, the best adventure is that at the wheel of a McLaren 720 S, yeah, the one that gave life to “The Great Escape”, my first ever book.
As said multiple times, the 720 S is a supercar with hypercar’s performance, still with what it takes to be a perfect grand tourer. Total package right? Pretty sure about that. The fact is that this McLaren is not just about a terrifying speed and an equally impressive grip through corners, it’s how it envelops your body and make you feel alive and constantly reward you no matters the kph you’re crunching or the road you’re on – everything turns special thanks to it. So if not every roads need a supercar to be enjoyed, the McLaren 720 S doesn’t need a particular road either, because it can turns your home to work trip into the ultimate drive of your life. So, if you ask me right now, what is the best car I’ve driven so far, it has to be the 720 S, thanks to the spine chilling performance it puts at disposal and for the fact it gave me everything on the best journey of my life so far, crossing alpine passes, the iconic Route Napoleon and blending my brain in my skull from home to the office all the other days I’ve had it in my garage.
