“I had lost my smile, hope, passion, all my hobbies. I had lost everything, even the will to live. Exactly 5 years ago, I got a bad evil diagnosed and my world fell apart. I rarely open myself to someone else about it, although I’m “out of danger”, despite my physic still shows the aftermath, treatments and the intervention I faced. I needed to hold onto something and being a shy boy, I had a desperate need for something special. One day my parents came home and brought me to a dealer (Porsche) and tell me to choose the car of my dreams. I chose her, this beautiful 997 Turbo that made me stand up and fight against a terrible disease. After a few months, I was also forced to leave it in the garage, because my health conditions were not certainly improving, and I think that ugly period has given me the strength and transmitted the desire for revenge, the desire to react when I had so much need for that.
My story is not a simple story of passion, but a story of life in the true sense of the word. She, the Turbo, is beautiful, fast, powerful and she is never satisfied – 5 years later, I can say I’m quite like her, having presented my cry for help and ending victorious. I do not drive it every day, because at work I do not have a car spot away from the other cars, but every weekend is sacred, and I spend it with her and with my family, another fundamental point of my existence. When people tell you that a car does not worth any sacrifice (and believe me, my parents have made immense sacrifices buying it for me) and that is just a piece of metal, tell ‘em that’s not true. Cars are an extension of our being and have an exceptional power, they make us feel special. And this feeling is the key to life”.
