After a long wait, he is finally back for challenging his nemesis in a secret competition called “The DeLeon”, so as to take revenge and find the long-awaited redemption.
TITLE: Race With The Devil
YEAR: 2014

LENGHT: 2h 12 min
GENRE: action
NFS is not your classic action movie. This is evident from the over two hours duration and from a cast with names such as Aaron Paul, Dominic Cooper, Rami Malek and Michael Keaton, just to mention a few. There are the canonical clichés necessary for a film of this type, but the numerous action scenes are expertly inserted in a multi-layered context that keeps the attention high throughout the duration of the mad run. Then there are dream cars, in the true sense of the word. Yep, you can’t miss a Ford Mustang, but you also get hypercars such as Koenigsegg, Bugatti Veyron, GTA Spano, Saleen S7, McLaren P1 and a Lamborghini Sesto Elemento, which although admittedly replicas, do an excellent job to make the most of one of the best car-movies out there. Need For Speed does a great job and manages to engage the viewer with excellent visual effects (except for an exaggerated jump) and a plot that is not necessarily the same old one, without ever drawing too much from the specific genre and offering even superior entertainment to an institution like the Fast & Furious saga. Highly recommended.
