Noble Is Back: The M500 Has 500-HP and It’s a Manual!
We had to wait twelve years, but finally Noble comes back in the game. The British manufacturer dusts off the great potential only partially exploited by the powerful M600 and reveals a model that has in its sights nothing but the legendary Porsche 911. It is called M500 and is an analog supercar that promises to rediscover true driving pleasure under the lines of a coupe with a centrally positioned engine, 500 horsepower and a strictly manual gearbox.
Old school is better – they should have thought at Noble and given the frantic rush we are now used to in terms of hybridization and lightning-fast 0-100 accelerations, the Noble team decided that the must-have aspect of a proper driving experience actually is the involvement offered by a car capable of communicating with the driver’s back. In the case of the M500 we find a car body of about 1,200 kg in fiberglass and that does not scream its functional brutality, thus allowing to have an authentic dream car look that is not necessarily at ease only among the curbs of a race track. The engine is a 3.5-liter V6 twin-turbo that delivers 500-hp (which could become 550) managed by a 6-speed manual gearbox. Coming by the end of 2022, the M500 should settle in a price range of around € 180,000, which taking into account the exotic wow factor makes it the most dangerous – or interesting, depending on your point of view – opponent to the iconic 911.
