Now You Can Go Offroad With A Rolls Royce: This Is RR’s First SUV, The Cullinan
Dark times are finally over, embrace joy and the ultimate luxury mountaineer – so to speak – because Rolls Royce has entered for the very first time in SUV territory, following the trend recently enriched by Bentley and Lamborghini. The Cullinan aims to be the crown jewel of your eccentric garage and will do that for sure, not only for the size of this 4X4, but for the exclusivity that brings along.
First of all its name is the same of the largest diamond ever discovered, which now resides in the British Crown Jewels. Like the new Phantom VIII, it boasts a twin-turbo 6.75-liter V12 engine, which has been reworked producing 563 horses and 850 Nm of torque at 1.600 rpm. We then find new double-wishbone front axle and five-link rear axle, a new all-wheel drive system with a special ‘Everywhere’ button that will let you maintain the famous RR soft ride, without sacrificing off-road capabilities.
Inside, as you can imagine, there’s maximum attention for extreme luxury and also thanks to the generous dimensions you could spec two different configurations for the rear passenger seats, including a normal bench (Lounge Seats) and a more luxurious two-seat setup (Individual Seats). A central infotainment screen is now touch sensitive for the first time and you also isolate the cabin from the luggage compartment, as long as requesting special configurations – according to your needs – for the cargo area itself. Prices will start at around €325.000, but climbing with extras seems compulsory.
