Overdrive | Cinema
Are you ready for a good dose of adrenaline? We could call it this way, trying in some way to leave out the gaps about the lack of realism and the flaws of a far too obvious plot, but it would be unfair and this because Overdrive is undoubtedly a pretty movie to watch, produced with a budget of around 24 millions euro and that involves two brothers (the first of many clichés) grappling with the theft of a Bugatti Type 57 S Atlantic that will bring a dense series of consequences.
TITLE: Overdrive
YEAR: 2017
DIRECTED BY: Antonio Negret
LENGHT: 1h 33min
GENRE: action
It will not be remembered as a masterpiece of the last decade, but still offers 90 minutes of healthy fun, including cars chases, plot twists and a significant number of beautiful cars (especially historic ones), not to mention a location very dear to us and in which much of the final run takes place, the Gorges de Daluis. Except for the inevitable scenes that would seem absurd even for a child with a lively imagination, the obvious storytelling does not weigh too much on the final result of a film that finally allows you to have an excellent opportunity to admire different cars than the usual JDM or traditional supercars who often monopolized the Hollywood car movies scene. Give it a chance.
