PASSO SAN BOLDO
PASSO SAN BOLDO
The Passo San Boldo is located in the Veneto region and connects two sides of the Belluno’s Prealps. Although it is a rather short stretch – just about ten kilometers – it nevertheless represents a popular destination for those who cannot remain indifferent to the sight of a cluster of hairpin bends that twist into each other, in this case with an exceptional morphological game of curves and tunnels and a two-way traffic that despite the due attention, especially through the tightest turns with difficult visibility towards the opposite direction, give plenty of fun and involvement.
Location: San Boldo (TV) Italia
Type: twisty road
Length: 8,9 km
Elevation: 706 m
The altitude above sea level is also reduced and slightly exceeds 700 meters, thus allowing you to tackle the 18 hairpin bends of the San Boldo practically all year round. Called the “Road of the Hundred Days”, because it was built in record time of just 100 days, in 1918 and for strategic needs relating to the Great War, it is a place that can have intense traffic depending on the time and days in which you tackle it, but regardless of the brevity of its development, it manages to give strong emotions, especially once you observe the incredible work done at the time of its creation from top to bottom.
