Pirelli Scorpion Verde All-Season: Eco-Friendly Excellence
Tires play a fundamental role and should never be underestimated. Together with our friends at Euroimport Pneumatici we have chosen 6 different proposals that will allow you to better understand what tyre is best for you and your car. Here is the fifth episode of the special series.
It is undoubtedly one of the most complete tires that can be found, we are talking about the Pirelli Scorpion Verde All-Season, which given the approach of the winter season represent the perfect combination of quality and usability, especially because they are mainly aimed at cars with important dimensions like SUVs and off-roaders. The “Green” part of the name stands for the green process that is used for the same design and for the qualities of the tire such as quiet running, lower carbon dioxide emissions and lower fuel consumption. In addition to the four inner channels, useful to drain water and snow in the best way possible, they use a reinforced carcass and a silica-based compound with an asymmetrical profile, in order to obtain excellent performance, reduced braking distances and at the same time comfort and optimal grip, even with adverse road conditions.
In such a case, the ideal way to test the quality of this product was to touch them first hand. And so our Range Rover Velar, equipped with 255/50 tires and huge 20-inch wheels, worked as a testing bench to assess if in fact Pirelli has been able to combine such different characteristics and make them coexist in a type of rubber ready to face slippery or even snowy asphalt, without compromising daily use or motorway ride, when rolling noises can be more pronounced due to higher speeds. The result of our test was exceptional and the Scorpion Verde All-Season were able to impress for a behavior very close to that of a summer tire, not suffering their shoulder, let alone being 4-season tires.
