Porsche 911 Turbo S | News
Porsche and turbo go hand in hand almost for the entire range, but the real “Porsche Turbo” is this one.
A 911 squared. The new 992 Turbo S, available in both coupe and convertible versions, has been unveiled to the world accompanied by the great interest that fans of the brand and not only obviously place in one of the most representative models of the range, even if the 911 Carrera is already supercharged from the bottom of the price list (starting with the 991.2, ed). The Turbo S, however, takes everything to the large numbers of the speedometer and does that with 650 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque, which distributed on both axles allow the Turbo S to accelerate from 0 to 200 kph in just 8.9 seconds. In fact, it seems superfluous to confirm that you just need a blink of an eye (2.7 seconds, for the record) in order to reach 100 per hour, thus having enough grip to keep you glued to the ground between the curves, with a top speed confirmed at 330 kph and the possibility to transfer up to 500 Nm of torque on the front axle alone.
PDK dual-clutch 8-speed gearbox combined with its 3-liter boxer, larger turbos, PASM with electronically controlled suspension as standard and active anti-roll bars, while we obviously find a wider car body than the one of the traditional 911, with a front track boasting 45 extra mm and 20mm more at the back, but also active aerodynamics thanks to the front splitter that extends downwards to favor air flows and the rear wing that rises at high speeds. Inside we have more carbon fiber, sports seats and seams inspired to the legendary 930 Turbo, but also GT steering wheel, Sport Chrono package and Porsche Track Precision system.
Available around the month of May with prices starting from € 224,527 for the coupe and € 238,435 for the convertible, but if you are really attached to your piggy bank, know that a less powerful and less expensive Turbo version will arrive soon.
