Porsche 992: Simply Carrera
After the release of the S and 4S versions of the new 992 generation, Porsche is ready to offer what on paper can be considered the entry-level model of the latest born in Stuttgart. Do not even think for a moment that this is a fallback for those who cannot spend a few cents more, because the 992 Carrera – obviously available both in coupe and cabriolet version – arrives with an equally aggressive flat-six 3.0 twin-turbo outputting 385 horses and 450 Nm of torque. At the moment we always find the 8-speed dual clutch, capable of accelerating the “base” 992 from 0 to 100 kph in just 4 seconds, or 3.8 if you opt for the Sport Chrono Package (4.2 seconds for the Convertible and 4 seconds if with Sport Chrono Package).
The differences with the Carrera S are really minimal and you will be able to play with the choice of the rims to overcome what in all respects turns out to be the only real difference in terms of look. With prices starting at € 108.139 it will not be a cheap sports car, but what the 992 is able to offer is an exhilarating driving experience with the possibility of almost total use, thanks to a cockpit rich in comfort and technology, without forgetting the dynamic aspect that always distinguishes Stuttgart’s creatures. Make your choice and if it’s just a Carrera, know that you won’t need anything else.
