Porsche Cayenne Turbo: Even More 911ish
Recently unveiled in its third generation, the Cayenne now answers to the anxiety for its most awaited version: the Turbo. Porsche states that its SUV has never been so close to the 911, but despite its exceptional effectiveness, not all purists will agree. What is undeniable is represented by the numbers that prepare the way for the refreshed look of the new model, which shares with the Panamera the design of the optical unit at the back and looks more homogeneous and sporty than before.
Under the bonnet, a 4-liter V8 equipped with two turbochargers and able to deliver 550 horses on all four wheels, thus resulting in unbelievable performance for a car of this segment: 0-100 kph in 4.1 seconds ( 3.9 with the Sport Chrono Package) and a maximum speed of 286 kph. Yes, you read that right and yes, they are really exaggerated figures. In addition to the exterior and interior cosmetic updates, where the dashboard is renewed on the basis of the Panamera, losing the multitude of buttons in favor of a cleaner central tunnel, there are aerodynamic arrangements that contribute to a perfect relationship with the flows in favor of an improved drag coefficient and an improved grip. The Cayenne, despite having done a lot for the 911, will never be a 911, but with similar performances, the Turbo will never come late.
