Porsche: Now You Can Fit Modern Infotainment On Your Classic 911
The possibility of equipping a car that at the time was logically missing an infotainment system is increasingly requested. Thing is that people can’t actually live without being connected to the big net. The crucial aspect, however, is the fact of not wanting to distort the interior of the car with a screen that seems to have come from the future and that makes you lose that charm that makes special a day of driving with your classic 911. It’s called Porsche Classic Communication Management and it’s what you were looking for, a 3.5-inch high-resolution touch screen fully connectable with your smartphone, DAB radio and navigation system.
It is developed by the Porsche Classic department so you can be sure that nothing has been left to chance, starting from its very sober look and that perfectly integrates into the dashboard of any 911 between the 60s and the last 993 of the beginning of the ’90 in its 1-DIN configuration, while the 2-DIN configuration is suitable for the most recent models such as 996 and 986 Boxster, with the possibility of opting for a 7” display. The PCCM can be yours starting at 1,439 euros, while the Plus version will cost around 1,606 euros, thus offering more comfort on board, but without affecting the original charm of the model.
