Porsche Taycan Cross Turismo | News
Porsche’s all-electric achievement continues with the arrival of the Cross Turismo version of the Taycan. A Shooting brake body and an increased ground clearance of 30 mm are the main features that aim to offer the Porscheist 3.0 a car designed for spare-time and daily commute, still maintaining the exceptional driving dynamics we experienced at the wheel of the Taycan sedan.
It will initially be available with all-wheel drive only – undoubtedly the one that suits it best – and with powers ranging from the 476 horsepower of the 4 to the 761 of the Turbo S. The Taycan Cross Turismo then offers a load compartment that reaches a maximum capacity of 1,200 liters, with a nod to an eco-friendly lifestyle but which does not intend to set any limits, with the exception of those concerning the electric range, with an average 456 km (for the Taycan 4 Cross Turismo) decreasing according to the version chosen and the type of driving that will be adopted behind the wheel. Lots of power and technology, moreover similar to the traditional variant, but with a look that launch the Porsche image further into the future, combining the tailgate that clearly outlines the shapes of the Cross Turismo, a model that now clearly makes the differences from the Panamera more visible, this last one available in its multiple petrol and hybrid declinations.
Finally, we have the Smart-Lift function, which raises the car body to better deal with bumps or severe slopes, but the real novelty is represented by the Gravel Mode, that is an additional driving mode designed to optimize driving on uneven terrain, dirt and mud. This allows the car to increase ground clearance by 30 mm compared to the sedan and better manage traction control intervention. Getting away from the asphalt and immersing yourself in nature has never been so exciting and ecological at the same time.
