“Ladies and gentlemen, you are in front of the ultimate car! That’s what I say to my friends, when they ask me why I chose a 993 GT2. Yes, because I consider it a vintage car with supercar performance that are still damn good for today’s standards, with a touch of madness and violence more of any modern Porsche or Ferrari or Lamborghini. I almost bought this car by chance, 4/5 years ago and I took it in Manchester, where I drive it more often than one could think. I use it for going to the office and for having fun on the weekend: it’s perfect for any situation and always attracts the attention. I have no plans to use it on track at the moment, I think the day that I will want that, I will buy something more modern and more suitable for being massacred through the curbs; since it has been built in only 57 units, it has an outstanding value, destined to grow further. Based on the 993 Turbo, has instead the traction distributed only on the rear axle, weighs less and has everything you should have on a car racing, a 450hp 3.6cc engine, a massive rear spoiler and XXL size wheel arches. Beautiful from every angle you look at it, but you get the best out of it when you drive it, with that old school feedback, that slight turbo lag (it has two turbos, of course), which once it comes into play stick you to the seat . The steering is not so precise, the exact opposite of the new generations 911, but it’s part of the game and if you start to play, you do not want to stop. In my future projects, I’d like to use it for a road-trip across the most beautiful roads in Europe, maybe a group of French passes, some Italian hill for ending on some Alpine passes. I am also a kind of person who likes to eat good, so I would join the driving pleasure, with the passion for good food”.
