Radford Type 62-2 | News
Not even time to recover from the amazement aroused thanks to the recent Emira and we’re already back talking about Lotus. With the difference that this time it is not really due to Lotus, but to the British specialists Radford. The new Type 62-2 immediately catches our senses, especially of those who remember the Type 62 of 1969, making use in this case of the platform that equips both the Exige and Evora, without however giving up to the stylistic traits of the glorious past of the Hethel brand and its mission in the racing world.
In this regard, for the only 62 units planned for production, the lucky owners will have a wide range of choices in terms of customization, as for example the iconic Gold Leaf livery. The Type 62-2 therefore keeps the 3.5-liter supercharged V6 with powers ranging from 430 to 500 horsepower, the latter the case of the Gold Leaf edition. It will be possible to choose between a 6-speed manual gearbox, or a more contemporary 7-speed double clutch. Finally, a weight of just 1,000 kg, a perfect balance and a ground clearance of 1,133 mm, make this nostalgic sports car a delightful surprise for those who demand performance that does not give up that retro taste that captures the eye and it drags you back in time, when cars like this were pure adrenaline.
