Range Rover Velar: Trendsetter Again?
It would not be a surprise if Range Rover will be once again able to show the world another phenomenon capable to polarize sales and love of the whole market. The new Velar goes to position itself half way between the Evoque and the Sport, being 100mm longer than the first and 100mm shorter than the second – just to better understand, it will sit in the same segment of its cousin Jaguar F-Pace. If for the moment we do not dwell too much on the design side, extremely clean and voted to sportsmanship with lines that do not give a precise idea, at first glance, of the overall dimensions of the car, what will make the delight of its customers (loyal and new ones) will be the highly advanced infotainment system and the technology package that Velar offers to its driver and passengers.
There are in fact two 10-inch touch screens, through which you can control the Intel quad core processor and at the same time enjoy a futuristic dashboard virtually devoid of buttons. The other main distinguishing features of the new born in the Range Rover family will be flush deployable door handles, LED matrix lights and the new colors, which combined with a fine selection of alloy wheels, will make the Velar a car capable of face any sort of road, but satisfying at the same time the eye of the beholder. The “base” model will be powered by a 180hp 2-liter diesel engine, while for the more demanding ones, the choice will fall on the 3-liter supercharged V6 grounding 380 horses – all engines are still coupled to a ZF 8-speed gearbox. This Range Rover seems having come from the future and is ready to conquer the world, once again.
