‘Ring Madness
In recent years, the most typical and futile bar talk, have gone from the 0 to 100 kph to the lap times at the Green Hell, the legendary Nürburgring. Despite a good 90% do not know that right among those countless corners and those seemingly endless 25km, over 30 years ago, F1 cars, those who were really to drive and where pilots only had a powerful engine, wide tires and two attributes between their legs (unlike the myriad of technology we see today), sped lap after lap in search of one of the most prestigious victories in the championship calendar. Today, with the exception of endurance racing and other races for cars with covered wheels, the maximum Formula only uses the nearby racetrack and the real ‘Ring is especially prey to tourists and more or less experienced drivers, but also to car manufacturers who exploit the ‘amplitude of the circuit in question and its numerous corners, in order to test the prototypes and their sports cars. Unfortunately, like all good things, there is always something wrong, as rumors of a possible failure of the circuit (despite a large influx of visitors), the fear of boring speed limits which should discourage the run for records lap (come on, it’s a racing track!) and the numerous incidents of those who venture with the firm conviction that testing it on the PS4 would be enough to challenge the toughest circuit in the world. We have heard a lot of trash, from record laps proclamations to amateurs who write books on historic achievements only done in their remote imagination, common impression is that we’re a little ‘tired of this. We would like to live the Nürburgring for what it is and put a brake on those that are talking trash, things that does more damage than an accident at the end of a straight: there is a track completely out of time and where you can drive (fast or not), with your car or with a rental one. Let’s enjoy and just stop this stupid bar talk, meanwhile the truth always comes to light.
