Singer-Williams 911: 500HP and 990Kg. Are You Kidding?
Let’s try to place our jaw in place and just admire the latest Singer’s creation, the US brand that takes classic Porsche 911s and makes them performance-wise and dynamically contemporary without losing that nerve typical of the time and the flavor that lives in one of the most unmistakable car shape in history.
Commissioned and processed according to the requests of a lucky customer, we are facing the product of an All-Star Team, led by the same Singer, who for the occasion took in the game (among the various names) the experience and the engineering capabilities of Williams Advanced Engineering. For putting it simple, we have a 911-based 964 with expanded and lowered body, an air-cooled 6-cylinder with 500-hp, a total weight not exceeding the tonne, 18-inch forged BBS Motorsport wheels with central locking , Brembo brakes and a 6-speed manual gearbox. There are so many details that enrich the outside, but especially the interior, with a constant search for perfection and a characterization that make this 911 the ultimate Porsche, without noting that in the end it is not even a Porsche. This Singer stands up to an artistic and motoristic level that has never been achieved so far, a hymn to objective beauty, something epochal, and that probably – despite being astonished at first glance – we can’t really understand. But the legitimate owner can, no doubt.
