Sometimes They Come Back

It seems that the wishes of us all are going to be heard, because Renault has given new life to the Alpine brand and the production of the heir of the legendary A110 has never been so close. We saw it yesterday in the Principality, during an exclusive preview of the official presentation which will take place at the Geneva Motor Show and it really represents everything we desire for the end of this or next year. A sports car from the immortal line that gives a nod to its ancestors of the 60s and 70s, with a mid rear engine, a light body and chassis and performance able to create a headache for the whole array of sports cars with engine in the back and rear wheel drive. Just the engine itself could be the 1.6 turbo 4-cylinder similar to that which equipped the Clio RS. Apart from the fact that we would like a good old manual transmission, we love its line and the fact that it is a breath of fresh air in the automotive landscape. We just have to keep calm and devour the wait until the official presentation in Geneva. Meanwhile, let’s enjoy the return, almost definitive, of one of the most famous names in motorsports!
