Sparco Factory Tour: Inside Made In Italy
On Friday, September 25, just two days earlier than the “Sparco Open Day”, we brought a small and select group of readers behind the scenes of a company that is the pride of Italian motorsport all over the world . Sparco, with the new and avant-garde headquarter in Volpiano (TO) has opened its doors, bringing us in the heart of the Company, where racing suits, helmets and seats that end up on the fastest cars in the world, come to life. We have been able to appreciate how everything is handmade, with the maximum attention to detail and incredible care for the wishes of every driver, both professional or amateur. For example, thanks to new patented “Infinity” technology you can choose between an “infinite” pattern of colors and materials. World champions like Loeb, Alonso and Button dress Sparco and after testing a random product of the catalog, you will want one too.
That’s not all, in fact, another important aspect of the production in Volpiano is that related to car manufacturers; names like Bugatti, Lamborghini, Lotus, VW and Alfa Romeo, just to name a few. Seats or carbon fiber parts you admire on top range models, are born within the blue walls of Sparco. Finally, to conclude a definitely fun and informative visit, Simona Signorotto (communications manager) took us in the store, where you find hundred of accessories that you will want in your track day kit immediately, but we also played with a driving simulator making some damage, fortunately, only virtual.
We had no doubt about the quality and technical professionalism of these guys and we confirm that this factory tour will be the first in a long line, because every self-respecting enthusiast must behold and touch what they are going to wear once behind the steering wheel. Sparco deals with our security, keeping in mind its own unique character, typically Made in Italy.
