TITLE: Starsky & Hutch
YEAR: 2004
DIRECTED BY: Todd Phillips
LENGHT: 1h 41min
GENRE: comedy, crime
The movie, directed in 2004 by Todd Phillips, is set in the 70s, exactly like the original TV series that aired for 92 episodes from 1975 to 1979. Everything is kept faithful to the original and focused on the tireless and funny cops, played by the phenomenal Ben Stiller and Owen Wilson. In the specific case of the 2004 film, the story precedes the series and therefore acts as a prequel, giving the opportunity to present the characters even to those who have not seen the original play. As conceivable, the Stiller/Wilson duo enhances a funny film, seasoned with all the ingredients useful to spend almost two hours between car chases, interrogations and scenes that confirm how much they should not be taken too seriously to entertain their audience, in 2004 as 30 years earlier.
