On the occasion of the annual pilgrimage on the Stelvio Pass, the 2020 edition has maintained the characteristics that make it an unmissable event for every Hethel’s super-lights owner, that is many kilometers on some of the most scenic mountain roads of the old continent, an incalculable number of hairpin bends and that smile that only a Lotus is able to draw from one side of the face to the other, thanks to the innate ability to create the most visceral man-machine (or woman-machine) relationship you can imagine.
Being the year of the twenty-fifth anniversary of the Lotus Elise, the little sports car that changed the concept of performance car, there was no better way to celebrate this important milestone than together with Elisa Artioli, the baby who inspired her grandfather Romano Artioli to create a car that still represents the purest driving fun, without frills, without compromises: just the driver, a car reduced to the bone and the ideal road ahead.
Organized by Delightful Driving and Bends and Curves, the event brought together about a hundred Lotuses including Exige, Evora, 2-Eleven, 3-Eleven and of course Elise, all with the intention of celebrating the automobile as an object of pleasure, freedom and that tool that more than any other allows to write magical moments to be kept in the memory of each of us, especially those who took part in this unforgettable weekend.
