Ten Years In The Making. Behold The Ferrari 612 Scaglietti Shooting Brake One-Off Made By Vandenbrink Design
Dutch coachbuilder Vandenbrink Design has left nothing to chance over the ten years required to build a car that is nothing short of spectacular. The lines of the 612 Scaglietti may also seem out of fashion to Forza Motorsport fanatics, but the fact remains that this is one of the most elegant grand tourer ever. Now imagine it as a Shooting Brake version and take a look at the masterpiece created for the lucky owner, Mr Van den Heuvel, no surprise he’s a big fan of Shooting Brakes.
The differences with the original 612 are not only in the rear volume, radically modified, but in the completely new line obtained with a clean design and perfectly in step with the times. Admiring it as a whole you can see influences from great designers such as Pininfarina, Bertone and even Zagato, without however letting the elegance of the 612 Scaglietti lose its instant classic flavor that still distinguishes it today in the face of hallucinating performance monsters like the F12 and the 812 Superfast.
The passenger compartment gains centimeters, especially for the rear occupants, while the rest remains faithful to the original, a blaze of leather and racing taste at disposal of the 5.7-liter V12 capable of delivering 540 horsepower and awakening entire towns as it drives by. It is a unique specimen, commissioned by a customer who has not been in a hurry, and judging by the result, the € 300,000 necessary have been spent pretty well.
