The All-New Mid-Rear Engined Corvette Stingray Becomes A Convertible
The latest generation’s Corvette Stingray has revolutionized its legacy abandoning that shape of a front-engined grand tourer. After having changed skin and placed the engine in mid-rear position, the Convertible version is here as well, which has meant a further and accurate design in order to equip it with a folding canvas roof, all for about $ 7,500 more than the coupe counterpart.
There are in fact different rear pillars, the same goes for the engine cover. 16 seconds for having the wind through your hair and there is also the possibility of opening only the rear window located behind the seats. At launch we will have one engine only, namely a 6.0 V8 with 495 horsepower and 637 Nm of torque, combined with an 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with traction obviously on the rear wheels.
