The Answer is Always “MX-5”
What is your favorite customizable car? The MX-5! What car do you drive every day? The MX-5! What is the 4-wheels you’re madly in love with? The MX-5!
In case you have not yet figured out, Samuele has in his head one car: the MX-5! More precisely, the MX-5 you can see in these pictures, a second series facelift that “aficionados” of the almond eyes spider identify with the initials NBFL. It is a 2001 model with a 1.6 110 hp engine, which over time has become the world on wheels for Samuele who, years ago, having to choose his metal partner, did not hesitate to choose the little Miata as a sports car which is also a spider that he can use daily. The spark of love with the Japanese two seater had deep roots, in fact Samuele did not hesitate to specify that his love for the MX-5 was born with the first version, the NA, and then blossomed definitely a few years later with the purchase of his blue NBFL. Needless to say that the best aspects that Samuele loves about his MX-5 are the possibility to travel with the wind through his hair and enjoy the fun of having a rear-wheel drive, especially when it comes to deal with corners and roundabouts, also taking advantage of the favorable weight/power ratio.
Then, over time, Samuele has come to appreciate the ability to customize his vehicle, fitting a new exhaust (with no mufflers), chrome roll bar, burnished wheels, dashboard with chrome accents and even LED headlamps (of the same color of the car) in place of the traditional ones. A love that will increase over the years thanks to the experiences lived together. But there are a lot of dreams still to be realized, just like the ultimate trip he has in mind: “My greatest dream would be to drive this car facing the classic “coast to coast” crossing the US, through different types of road, from the endless deserts to the hills, from mountains to the prairies, from big cities to small towns.”
We do not know when Samuele will manage to fulfill his dream, but as he says, “the fact remains that I will never part from this car, never ever; I intend enjoying it and in the meantime looking forward to the new MX-5 ND!”
