The Dukes Of Hazzard | Cinema
It is undoubtedly one of the most famous TV shows ever, capable of keeping your eyes glued to the TV even 40 years later, letting yourself be carried away by the entertaining adventures of cousins Bo and Luke, who at the wheel of the legendary General Lee, do their best in order to save Hazzard County from the evil Boss Hogg. A simple plot that features typical characters, such as the beautiful cousin Daisy, the wise uncle Jesse and the unfortunate sheriff Rosco and that thanks to unlikely stunts that have cost the “lives” to numerous Dodges, has carved out a well-deserved place in the television cult panorama.
TITLE: The Dukes Of Hazzard
YEAR: 1979-1985
DIRECTED BY: various directors
LENGHT: 45 min
GENRE: action, comedy
Although the protagonists are charismatic and the viewer is drawn to the many adventures lived through the 146 episodes aired over the 6 years of production, “Hazzard” is famous for that orange Dodge Charger with the Confederate flag on the roof that is easier to see with its wheels far from the ground, or maybe while making half a dozen police cars eat its dust. Unstoppable, unpredictable and charismatic, the series is a concentrate of fun and action suitable for the whole family. In 2005 it also had its own film (and a prequel, dated 2007), maintaining the magical atmosphere of those years, but with a more contemporary twist that failed to fully convince the audience, at least not as much as the original TV series.
