The McLaren 675LT Turns Into A Track-Slaughterer Thanks to Capristo Exhaust
Launched in 2015 and being part of a limited edition series, both in coupe and spider versions with folding solid roof, the McLaren 675LT (Long Tail) has best paid its tribute to the legendary F1 Long Tail. A skeleton borrowed from the crazy P1 hypercar, a chassis so rigid and reactive that is able to transmit even the slightest roughness on the asphalt and an even more threatening look thanks to the numerous extra aerodynamic appendages, each of which has a very specific functional purpose.
The twin-turbo V8 pushes and is ready in any circumstance, offering the best of itself in its favorite habitat, the racing track. However, it is not rare to see the lucky owners of this Woking jewel, far from the curbs, taking advantage of the innate driving nature of McLaren supercars. Where, however, you cannot constantly pinch the rev limiter and you will be forced to keep lower paces, Capristo specialists come into play, with a sports exhaust elaborated through CAD design, earning the useful decibels to make this twin-turbo as ferocious as a naturally aspirated one and equally engaging, even when you have to be kind with the throttle.
The 309 stainless steel hand-polished exhaust is made according to the “reverse engineering” procedure (laser instrument that reproduces 100% the measurements of each standard particular of the car) and is composed of non-catalyzed stubs, silencer equipped with valves and a couple of carbon-fiber tailpipes. Thanks to the possibility to open and close the valves remotely, there is therefore complete freedom to decide how to “play” with the car, ultimate musical instrument for your ears and lethal weapon on the track and on the road.
