The New Bentley Supersports Is More Powerful Than Big Bang
In one shot, Bentley brings home the record for the most powerful 4-seater and for the convertible (always 4 seats) in the world. The new Supersports, which should be the swan song for the heavy and massive chassis of the current Continental, in fact boasts a frightening specific power and this time you’ll also have the opportunity to bring three passengers with you (instead of two, as on the previous SS). The 6.0cc W12 has been seriously upgraded and now delivers 700hp and about 1.016Nm of torque, of course distributed on both axles, powered by the proven all-wheel drive, system proved strong point which does not disdain the use of the English coupe on not properly sports terrains.
Despite the weight remains high, it needs only three seconds and a half to take from 0 to 100 and can reach easily 335 kph thanks to the ZF 8-speed automatic gearbox. Bentley engineers have also stiffened the suspensions and place an enormous carbon ceramic braking system, one of the most powerful in its class, while in terms of aesthetics, as well as carbon fiber panels here and there, we find the sports titanium exhaust and a couple of air intakes on the bonnet that complete a more solid and aggressive look completed by the updated front and rear bumpers. Optional, for the most demanding drivers, a fixed rear wing, icing on the cake for a Bentley that will burn as much fuel as a spaceship, but that boasts end of the world-like performance.
