The New Brabus GLE850 Is The King Of SUVs
SUVs, despite their discussed and contested nature, are among the preferred prey of worldwide tuners. Perhaps for the hypothetical character and taste of the owners, perhaps because they offer the opportunity to customize not only their aesthetic side, but also the performance compartment. The fact is that the new GLE Coupe, which goes to threaten the BMX X6, has undergone a thorough and refined work by German tuner Brabus. The GLE850 Coupe, based on GLE63 AMG, now has 850 horsepower, far beyond any other 4×4 (and almost every supercar) around. The well-known 5.5 twin-turbo V8 has been literally increased in size, becoming a 6.0cc, thanks to a delicate surgery that also includes a remapping of the ECU, a new exhaust system, new pistons and so on. The Brabus GLE now snaps from 0 to 100 in only 3.8 seconds and can reach more than 320 per hour without any problem at all. Aesthetically, the classic touches of the Mercedes refiner, are as always characterized by carbon fiber and new 23” wheels, resulting in the GLE you always wanted to set up, but that Mercedes wasn’t offering.
