The Right Car Attracts Girls
Cars & Girls, joys and sorrows. So they say, but this cliché has become obsolete as a steam train. But we must say that showing up on your first date at the wheel of the right car, immediately increases your overall score and it’s also able to transform a random encounter in a proper “first date”. You will laugh at the fashionable guy coming down his brand new Golf GTD, introducing yourself with a 458 Spider or a Huracan and only God knows how many girls you’ll have to leave behind, because you provide only one seat next to your one!
Social experiments (more or less reliable) have even shown that sometimes you just need to pull over and ask to get on board, to make sure not to go home alone. That is borne out my thesis that supercars are socially useful: they allow new relationships, they create families (technically) and basically give tons of fun, no matters if lived at the wheel or metaphorically thanks to it.
And there is nothing wrong about that, since the very first impact we have with a car it is the aesthetic side, where our mind assimilates a set of lines and shapes and defines whether we like it or not. In that moment a series of inputs travel fast and are filtered with our experiences, preconceptions and prejudices, by which we love more a brand over another and so on. A sleek and distinctive shape as that of a Porsche 911 will never go unnoticed, but at the same time always has that innate elegance that makes it up to every situation and context. The roar of a V12 fills the air and makes everyone turn by, from the hot and young blonde in a miniskirt, to the old woman who returns from the supermarket: at that point, it’s up to you to choose who bring home with you. Each brand has its strengths: you need a “prancing horse” or a valuable statue there on the hood and self-esteem becomes identical to that of a Premier League football player.
That said, we admit that boys are even worse, because no way we can resist a girl coming down from a sports car, am I right or not?
