Ranked: Top 10 Creepiest Cars in Film to Watch this Halloween
Maximum Overdrive’s 1981 Western Star 4800 truck ranked creepiest vehicle in film
Bad credit car finance provider, Go Car Credit, has revealed the creepiest cars in film to watch this Halloween. Scoring iconic movie vehicles based on their sentience, murderability, and brake horsepower, Go Car Credit has created a ranked list of the creepiest cars to grace the screen.
The sentience score was based on how aware the cars were of the murders. Haunted and possessed cars scored higher than cars that were driven by a maniac. The murderability score was based on total kill counts from each film, the more people killed, the higher the murderability score. However, kill counts varied from film to film depending on whether the vehicles were responsible for the killings, another character was, or it was ambiguous. Finally, the power score was based on the BHP of the creepy vehicle featured, the higher the BHP the higher the power score awarded.
Hayley O’Connor at Go CarCredit had this to say about the findings, “As a team of car fanatics, we are always discussing our favourite vehicles and what makes them so special. With Halloween around the corner, we wanted to celebrate some of the creepiest cars on film, and that got us thinking about what makes these vehicles truly creepy. We hope this little bit of fun sparks some lively debate with other car fanatics this Halloween.”
