We All Need An Alfa Romeo 4C

Four years have passed since I’ve managed to squeeze myself into the cabin of an Alfa Romeo 4C and there has been no single day in which I’ve not longed for that car again. Of course I’ve been able to drive other 4C, two or three times, but I have to admit this is one of those cars I always wanted to be mine, in my garage, at disposal for that Sunday drive out with car-minded people, maybe looking for a proper way to thrash that marble-like chassis and let the small 1,750 turbo to ground its 240-hp to the sound of one of the best sounding 4-cylinder out there.
The 4C is not a perfect car but it’s one of the ultimate cars built for the drivers. It is made to be driven, and I mean, it is made to be driven hard, thanks to the lack of power steering and such a basic cockpit that force you to focus on the only thing that matters here: the road ahead. The first time I met that heavyweight steering wheel still is crystal clear in my mind, even after 1,500 days. You step in there, sitting on bare carbon fiber and close that clunky door leaving the world behind. You start to drive and nothing else exists then. Tell me if a car like this isn’t all you need to keep intact our love for these pieces of metal.
