Where Would I Like To Be Right Now?

I’m currently boring myself on a train and as I look out of the window I just can’t stop my mind from running down some of the amazing driving days I had the last few months. Once again it would be impossible to choose only one of the incredible and epic climbs I had the luck to experience, some of them with crazy supercars, some others with equally thrilling sports cars or hot hatches. And of course I am using this 4 hours trip also for planning my next adventures as well, so I figure it’s ok if I try to identify where I would like to be right now.
Thing is I can’t really decide where to be. Of course we are talking about a mountain pass, mid to late autumn in order to have the road all for myself as well as the gorgeous yellow and oranges shades all over the fields at the feet of the mountains. I’d say Col de la Bonette, maybe because so far it’s the last climb I had and aptly happened on a sunny day with no traffic at all and where I enjoyed every single minute, especially when I parked the car and had lunch on the move while looking at the majestic panorama around me. It’s here that you feel so insignificant, because once again the road, the place, the thin air entering your lungs are the call that awaken the explorer in you.
But to be honest, I have no particular road in mind, different hairpins and backdrops start to draw themselves into my mind as I keep thinking to this incredible year at the office. Let’s say I’m probably made for this environment, especially as long as I have a powerful engine able to beak the silence up to the wildest peaks. Then, suddenly, a great idea for sharing with you some extraordinary experiences. The road never stops.
