You Know This Was Coming: Here Is The Ferrari 488 Pista Spider
We have just recovered from the amazement and how fantastic the new 488 Pista is, that a model dedicated to performance and to the exaltation of driving pleasure has been presented again by Ferrari, this time at Pebble Beach. Its cabrio variant, which maintains a roof that folds over to the engine compartment, just like the “traditional” 488 Spider is finally here.
The 488 in question is extremely special and not only because it represents the 50th model of a cabrio Ferrari ever produced, but because it will be a limited edition version, just as happened for the 458 Speciale Aperta before this. The eyes are logically focused on its wonderful lines, made even more streamlined by the strip – in this case blue – that crosses the whole body of the car, but you know it is also very fast, sharing with the solid roof sister the same 3.9 twin-turbo V8 that boasts 720-horsepower and which will not suffer the extra 100kg due to the opening mechanism of the roof.
Going from 0 to 100 kph takes just 2.85 seconds, while you will reach 200 per hour in 8 seconds, with a top speed of 340 kph that will mess up your hair in the most pleasant way possible.
