It’s a moment, you live for that moment that seems to last forever, suspended between our childhood dreams and the knowledge that everything has a price.
Sacrifices, dedication, and above all passion, bring us to live those moments that give a different flavor to our days, the ones that make a seemingly normal morning, the prelude to something that enriches our store of memories and experiences. And every day, every week, every month, every year – we add some piece that make us different from that child playing with toy cars and which was dreaming that one day he would have been able to sit behind the wheel of a powerful sports car – and play, for real.
Many look at us like we are aliens just landed, but in reality we recognize us as real car guys – the toys have changed, but we are still the same. And so, you’re rushing from one corner to the other, attacking the apex, or by drifting the rear. You feel lighter, you feel free, the soundtrack is the roar of the engine, the screeching of tires and those mechanical sounds that move your stallion and you. You share a deep and intimate experience with your car, too hard to be explained to those who will never understand. Your eyes alternate their attention from the tachometer to the next corner, with one eye that focuses the end of the hood, and you forget everything, every problem, every pressure, ready to expect you home, or at work. This nirvana is so powerful that when the car stops and you hear the brakes whistling, and the fan starts at crazy speeds to cool the engine, you look at the world around you, almost like you’ve been able to subdue it entirely for a few minutes or a few hours passed by too quickly.
And that’s it, you have tamed the world, ‘cause you choose the path and the manner in which to travel it. This makes a car so special, this binds us inextricably to them. And tell me if you do not fully agree with me. Tell me, when you get off and without even realizing it, you smile, savoring the smell of petrol and burning rubber, and lovingly sit next to your piece of metal on wheels.
