Extreme In Its Own Way
“I am one of the first owners of the new generation Mulsanne. In 2009, when it arrived on the market, I was eagerly waiting, as I had placed my order several months before. When it arrived in my garage, I established a pact with the devil. You wonder what do I mean by saying this? All is very simple and can be summed up in a few words. My Mulsanne is used every single day of the year and in fact, after 6 years of owning it, it marks around 160.000km. You could think I’m crazy, but when people ask me why I don’t use more frequently my second car or why I do not buy another car, in order to preserve the Bentley for the special occasions, I always state – Why do I have to drive another car, when it gives me everything I need? – Powerful, with as many as 505 horses and an infinite torque, comfortable beyond belief, practical, spacious but not cumbersome, especially when maneuvering. It is capable of devouring long motorway stretches and in the evening, when I get home from work, sitting in that cabin that smells of leather, wood and is brightly lit by a myriad of lights, makes me feel satisfied, thing that with the old Defender, no joking, certainly not happen. I only use that one for visiting a couple of friends who live in the woods. The Mulsanne, I always say that, is an extreme car. Extreme because it runs as fast as a sports car, but can adapt to any road and weather condition and then also to my daily mood. There is not a similar car to me, not even the much-emblazoned Phantom; aesthetically, the Mulsanne has made me fall in love since its first day at home.”
