Mercedes Gives You The New 416-HP A45 AMG

After the insipid A35, Mercedes finally presents the true heir of their A45 hot-hatch. To make a stir there is what stands out as the most powerful 4-cylinder turbo engine in production, capable of delivering 416 horsepower through an 8-speed dual-clutch gearbox and an all-wheel drive system that features a torque control devilry (max torque is 500 Nm) useful to simulate a reminiscent behavior of a rear-wheel drive. Interior updated according to the new stylistic features of the Stuttgart brand and the same treatment goes for the sedan version, called CLA.

It takes 3.9 seconds to shoot from 0 to 100 kph, while top speed is electronically limited at 250 per hour, with the possibility of reaching 270 thanks to the AMG Driver’s Package. Truly remarkable numbers, at least on paper, but not enough to make us prefer the “three-pointed star” to a jewel of the caliber of a BMW M2 Competition.
